The Uncas Library & Art Gallery

We have finally decided on a use for the back room of the store.  Over the next few months we will be adding artwork to the walls and showcasing local artist's work on a rotating basis. We are also adding bookshelves with a selection of used farming, gardening, and health books that customers will be able to check out. We are starting the library with our own books at this time.  Please do not bring me boxes of your books! We'll see how it goes first with what we have and then decide if we want to take on other books. We are also adding seating & tables and hot water for tea so you can spend some relaxing time browsing through the books and enjoying the artwork.

Pastel Drawings by Toki Oshima on display beginning Saturday, November 20 through December 23.

Join us on Saturday, November 20 from 3-5 p.m. for Toki's opening.
 Live music and refreshments will be provided.

Toki earned her degree in graphic design from the Maine College of Art. She currently works as an illustrator for Maine Organic Gardeners and Farmers Association and owns her own card business. In addition, Toki works as a parent-child teacher at the Ashwood Waldorf School in Rockport.
