Uncas Farms is a small family farm located on 180 acres
in the Sheepscot Valley.

We are committed to Eco-Agriculture, which we define as both ecological and economical farming. We not only try to produce safe crops but attempt to maximize the total nutrition of our crops through balanced soil fertility.

We do not use herbicides, and we only use insecticides and fungicides when absolutely necessary. A label is placed on any crops that have
been sprayed. We use the safest and most ecologically
conscious products possible.

We produce maple syrup, hay, strawberries, raspberries, a variety of vegetables, apples, and Christmas trees. The farm also includes
50 acres of managed woodland.

Our farm store offers natural and organic foods and fresh produce.
We are open year round.

We also see the farm as an important part of the community. The benefits to the community are fresh, local products, open space and an opportunity to support local agriculture. For us it means a local market for our production and an opportunity to know and educate our customers in a community,
neighborly and respectful environment.
