Mineral Collection

I have been studying and collecting rocks and minerals since 1966 and have an extensive collection of hand samples and micromount mineral samples. The hand samples consist of fossils, rocks and minerals mostly from the Midwest and the Northeastern US. There are suites of minerals from several famous pegmatite locations in Maine and New Hampshire. There are also suites of minerals from some excellent localities in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec and Vermont.

In 1999, I acquired a large micromount collection from a local, retired mineral collector. This collection contains over 1,200 cataloged samples, mostly from the greater New England area but includes samples from all over the world. I would enjoy speaking to students and interested groups about mineralogy featuring the collection. I am in the process of developing a group presentation with some of the select micromount minerals.
